Awful Arthur’s Seafood Feast

We came to Awful Arthur’s for our big seafood dinner while staying at Saint Michael’s over the Thanksgiving holiday and had a delightful experience. It was easily to make reservations for Black Friday dinner only a few hours before we ate (the place was closed for Thanksgiving). We were seated at a cozy table in a small, well painted room on the second floor. The service was spot on. I ordered a house Bloody Mary and it was thick and pulpy including the horse radish and dressed with an olive-peperoncino-celery garnish, rimmed with spicy celery salt and both lime and lemon. We ordered the steamer sampler, which was delicious and a great value considering all the Alaskan king crab legs, oysters, clams, spiced shrimp, muscles and crawfish we got. The presentation was perfect…a great pizza sized aluminum platter piled high with shellfish. This is the first restaurant I’ve eaten in that has ghost pepper sauce on the table. I gave it a try, but liked the melted butter best. A true Seafood Feast, more than the two of us could finish in one sitting. $60
